Waking up in a fun house. Right now there's a foam pit in our master bedroom because of a project my husband's working on. I go downstairs using an auto belay. It gently lowers me down to the first level. Next, breakfast. Our pantry, hidden behind a secret moving bookshelf. My husband's work, of course. Cereal and peanut butter are the essentials of my morning routine, and now I'm ready to start the day. Laundry time. A lot of laundry. We used to have a regular old laundry chute, but now it's a fireman's hole. My husband made the switch, and the kids are obsessed. But hey, it makes laundry duty a little more exciting, so I'm not complaining. Then I feed our cat. His name is Red. Also, this is our toilet paper wall. We have a lot of interesting places for toilet paper. We've also got this little loft above the stairs. The girls love stashing their books and toys up there. Cleaning it up is a never-ending task, but at least it's a cozy little hideaway. And finally, I clean the mirror behind the Dr. Pepper passageway. Then I head through the hidden door and the wall.
