Pups are seven weeks old and they're going home in a few days. To celebrate, I'm turning their whelping box into a ball pit. So I sectioned off half of the whelping box and started filling it up with balls. Once I put about 600 balls in, I noticed that I was going to have to extend the ball pit area. So we made it even bigger. We have a total of 1,000 balls for the puppies. And of course we had to add a slide. I let mom check out the pit first just so she could make sure that it was safe for the puppies. She wasn't a big fan and jumped out pretty quickly. And then I let Brody try the slide out. Then it was time to release the little minions. To be honest, I thought some of them were going to be hesitant, but not at all. They were having the time of their life. When I would put them down the slide, they would run around to go again. This was a great activity to let the puppies get a load of new sensory experiences that are going to get them ready for their forever homes. This is what a successful play day looks like.
